A/V Speech: A slice of Bhutan

Kuzu-zangpo-la!

Who we are and what truly makes us unique is the places we are from, the familiar landscapes we call home and where our roots lie.

Travelling over the little pond called the Atlantic Ocean, I bring with me a completely different world. I am delighted to be able to experience such a range of cultures and also have the ability to compare and contrast them to my own. Though I probably talk about it a lot, I am very proud of where I come from and of the place I call home. Which is why I'm doubly as excited to show you a video of where I am from and when I get the chance to talk about home ^0^

The video I have selected to present, is an interview held with the Director of Tourism of Bhutan, Mr. Kesang Wangdi. I love the images in this video and though it might have a serious side to it, I feel it does justice to Bhutan and gives a sneak peek into where I am from.

I hope you enjoy: ^_^

There is more to the interview and if you are interested to hear more you can click on the link below (:
http://www.travelmole.tv/watch_multiplevdos.php?sid=0&id=15472 I urge you all to learn more about Bhutan and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask ^_^*

If you all haven't guessed by now from our uncanny resemblance, that's my dearest father♡ So I hold this video close to my heart for more than one reason ^o^

Bhutan is often considered to be a hidden kingdom, tucked away in the Himalayas. My wish is to, in my own small way, bring Bhutan to the fore front of the world and to let others experience the beauty of my culture☆

So, Thank you very much for allowing me to take you on that little trip* & I hope this encourages everyone to reach out and learn about other cultures, not limiting to mine alone.

We need to learn to reach out beyond the places we call home, in the hopes to become a global community for the ongoing battle we must fight against the plauging issues of the world. As his majesty the fifth King of Bhutan was quoted in a speech to graduating college students last year:

"We must never forget that for lasting peace and happiness in this world, the journey forward has to be one that we must all make together. No one should be left behind "

His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck
Today is actually his birthday! Long live the Druk Gyalpo♡

So from this small step of learning about a small country in Bhutan, I hope we push out and learn more about other cultures and places others call home. So we can broaden our bonds and perspective of the world.

Tashi Delek!

The Perfect One

Disclaimer: As by many and many magazine articles, shows and movies, finding the perfect guy is like finding the perfect amount of plutonium for Stewie.(^▽^) Every person's perfect lobster, as in lobster I mean guy/girl/person, its difficult to find that particular "one". So this version of the perfect guy is on my basis and in a very ideal world. In the same world where unicorns weren't left behind by Noah and Bruce Lee was still alive.

I could describe the guy in a list and don't get my wrong I love lists ♡ but i think for this delicate topic it would be better to say that the perfect guy would be an amalgamation of the following:

1. The PieMaker

The piemaker in all his bumbling, protective and dedicated self, embodies the psychological ideal of my perfect guy. He has a sensitive, caring, intelligent side yet is protective, manly and totally dedicated. Plus it helps that he speaks in a quirky and very adorable manner. Sigh* There is something so likable about his character, he gives off this air saying that chivalry hasn't died ^□^ So in my ideal one, I would find the flavors of the piemaker from his sincerity to his adorable nature ♡

How deliciously good is pushing daisies by the way? (。^_・。) ☆

2. Jack Sparrow♡

Most people say girls like bad boys and probably think this is real reason why everyone loves Mr. Jack Sparrow. Believe it or not, that's not why Ol' Cap'n Jack is in my list. Per Se. ⌒□⌒ but actually Jack's here because of his undying charm & his crazy ability to make everyone like him. With his inborn confidence, quick thinking mind, there is that weird assurance that everything is going to be alright. All will be well if Captain Jack is around. So most definitely I would hope to have in my ideal person, the same feeling of security, charm and sense of adventure as the Captain here. Plus can anyone hate his sense of humour?♡

3. Choi Seung-Hyun [최승현] better known as TOP

O(≧∇≦)O~ where to begin! TOP is from a well known Korean Pop Group called Big Bang. I know for the most part of the world boy bands are about as happening as big scrunchies and overalls >□<;; but for a large part they are very popular in Asia. There is huge industry that churns out talented singers/dancers who have their own unique flavour and style. Naturally, Big Bang is the crème de la crème of all K-pop (Korean Pop) Bands ^___^. I feel at this point my idea of my perfect guy would be very different to most people at college, simply because its a cultural thing. Tight pants and colorful shirts don't exactly spell masculine here
( ̄へ ̄)but that's a large trend for guys back home. The style that most follow is very unique, bold and pushes boundaries*
TOP is on the Left❤

Ahem* but getting back on topic~ If I had to choose the appearance of my perfect one, then it would be very drawn from handsome TOP  \\(^-^)//.The reason why I'm such a huge fan of TOP is not only cause of his heaven-sent looks but also because hes extremely talented, humble, grounded and very charismatic.(*^^)TOP's genes would definitely have to be a prominent aspect in my perfect one's DNA (^0^)♥

Amazing talents, charming personalities and breath-taking looks. From the smallest age ever since a little girl sees that first Disney perfectly-sculpted animation of a man saving that damsel in distress, their hearts glow with the wish to find one to call their own. So, I can wish to find that charming pirate or Korean pop star but in reality sometimes perfect doesn't mean without faults. There are many things that we can want in that perfect person but the actual moment we find someone who we can accept their short comings and still love them, you have in a way found your imperfect perfect one♡ & you can only hope they love you for you beautifully imperfect self as well ^□^♡
